When asked by the Stained Glass Museum at Ely Cathedral to create a series as part of their ‘Then to Now’ exhibition which celebrated their ongoing stained glass workshops. The SGM invited three glass artists, all of whom began their stained glass career after attending a stained glass workshop with them.
The artist’s mini series entitled “Fragility of the Status Quo” portrayed her feelings towards the global political situation of the time: Brexit.
Through the changing geometric structure from a uniform to chaotic arrangement, back to a uniform structure: these pieces express transition.
Instead of completely shattering, they reconfigure and rearrange with the use of bright colour: symbolising hope, rather than despair.
